Yes, all the DODOcase hardcover cases for iPads are made with magnets to invoke all the auto on/off function.

Tom Williams I have the Dodocase for iPad 2 and unfortunately had the reversed magnet so sleep would not work with my "new" iPad (3). So I fixed it!
First I used an Xacto knife to gently pry up the inside cover near the magnet. If you go slow and use levering motions instead of cutting, you can sort of cut and pry through the glue layer without damaging the inside cover fabric. I opened up the slit about 2-3 mm above and below the magnet. I also pried up the lining that is glued to the top of the magnet.
Then, I carefully put the tip of the blade into the slit and through the cardboard to reach under the magnet and pry it up very slowly. Took about 10 minutes of patiently prying. The magnet is glued, so some cardboard will remain sticking to it. Then I used a rounded paper clip to leverage the magnet out. Another bigger magnet might be better because you could just pull it out. Once out, I cleaned off the wafer-thin magnet, flipped it front to back, and slid it back in. It worked!
To re-seal the hole, I got the magnet as close to the original spot as possible. There's a sort of half hole there. Then, using a clothes iron with no water in it, set to medium high, I ironed the cover all around the magnet. The glue melted and sealed the liner nearly perfectly. You can see the magnet outline a bit more clearly now, but the liner is totally sealed like new, with no cuts or obvious marks. And, of course, it works again!

alexnz The only thing that would make this case perfect is if the magnet stuck itself to the device's screen, preventing it from shuffling around. The way it is right now, if the lid were to move off of the "sweet spot" (which happens very easily) it will trigger the lock/unlock feature even with the lid closed. Needless to say i have to turn off the magnetic lock feature to avoid hearing the unlock click sound coming from my bag.
Other than that I'm really pleased with my Dodo!

Shay I just received my Dodocase for the iPad mini today and had trouble with the on off auto function also. Apparently the magnet was just a couple millimeters above the 'sweet spot' because it will lock up after it's closed *only* when I shifted the front cover down a tad (then it would light up after I let go [I could see in between the cracks]) . So I took Tom Williams advice and did exactly what he did and it worked. I peeled off the inner lining slowly, pried out one of the 2 magnets, adjusted then glued it down, and then used an iron to seal the lining back on. The only mistake I made was my iron was extremely hot, so the lining got slightly discolored in the corner, but not so much noticeable.
I guess I could of sent it in to get it exchanged, but I waited so long for this case (as it's custom). How unfortunate I have to fix something that I shouldn't have to fix :X

Unfortunately, some of our magnets are not placed into the case correctly - thus you had some trouble with the on/off auto function. We can set you up with a replacement once you send me the email.
